This year I’m quietly reflecting and noticing. I have changed my diary and my group work significantly for 2026. This has opened space up for my own daily yoga practice and a walk in local parkland.
This morning a small bird flew out in front of me and returned to this scraggle off branches. (As far as I’m aware its not in the picture.) At first I wondered if it was juvenile firecrest but suspect it was a juvenile wren, yet to grow that distinctive upturned tail. It had a distinctive white stripe over the eye. Such a small beautiful flighty creature
The Hub has been closed. It was a good idea and those of you who met me for yoga, meditation and retreats enjoyed the space. Unfortunately it was unsustainable, I was spending more time trying to fill the space than enjoying being in it. Following this, I have decided to pause all local retreats for now.
There are two residential retreats at Sycamores; May is full and November is reserved but if you are interested in a retreat, send me a message and I can keep you updated. The retreats are full board with yoga practices morning and evening, and the option for individual time with me. The days are open and self-directed this year: Residential Retreats
There are two online yoga classes each week. I want this to be as close to our ‘real world’ experience as it can be and you are helping me to create our saṅga (community). The live classes are recorded and sent out weekly so you can catch up on a missed classes and support your home practice. As we are online, the price has reduced to £10/class, payable as a term fee. If you would like to join the classes, then do get in touch: Online Yoga Classes
I have increased my availability for appointments with one in the morning and two in the afternoon, available Monday to Friday. If you’re missing the retreat spaces, there’s always the option to book a longer appointment with time to talk and reflect together
My prices remain the same
Massage & Bodywork: you may be used to massage with oils (skin to skin). I work through clothes which allows me to move your body freely within your range of movement; I can also work with depth and precision. I find the Thai bodywork techniques really benefit from this approach, whether you are on a couch on a futon (floor-based). I had a lovely comment this week: ‘that was so healing, I don’t know how you do it’. I am still glowing!: Massage & Bodywork
Reflexology focuses on the feet to release the tension in the body and is amazingly effective. This was my first therapy when I started in 1999 and the results still blow me away. There’s the option to combine reflexology with reiki-based massage, in a 75 minute appointment. The two together are a sublime experience: About Reflexology
And Reiki, the most confusing therapy of the lot … How is it pronounced? What does it mean? How does it work? The thing about reiki is it needs to be experienced, talking just doesn’t do it justice. For me, it’s deep relaxation received through the practitioner’s hands, guiding you into a meditative state. When you are in that deep space, magic happens in the form of connection, release and healing: Reiki
A reminder to let people you know with a breast cancer diagnosis, to apply for vouchers from Bosom Buddies Bristol as part of their collaborative complementary therapy scheme: Bosom Buddies
If we haven’t seen each other for while, let me know how you’re getting on. Even better, book an appointment to support your health and wellbeing. I look forward to speaking with you soon, Yvonne x
