Does your lifestyle nourish you?

I want to help you to find the lifestyle that does nourish you. You may feel your life is out of balance but are unsure what that imbalance is.

Imbalance is not a case of too much or too little, it’s just imbalance and without balance, we cannot flow. If we put the support in place, we can let go of the outcome because balance will surely follow.

We will start with a free initial conversation to understand what has brought you to this point and to explore how we can work together.

Being rather than Doing

I encourage a reflective framework that is compassionate and mindful. This is a truly individual approach with common elements of bodywork, yoga, breathwork, reflection and self-care practices.

Yoga promotes awareness and a mindful attitude to understand where we are. Then we can understand what is working, what needs tweaking and what needs to change.

Ayurvedic coaching looks at how we nourish ourselves with our activities and our diet in relation to our stage of life and time of year.

Neither Yoga or Ayurveda are fixed practices, this gives the flexibility needed to avoid a ‘band aid’ approach. Temporary change is unlikely to be sustainable or nourishing.

Once you step on this path, the answers will gently unfold

There is a krama (a step by step process) to finding the lifestyle that nourishes and reveals your healthiest self. If you want to make changes that are sustainable then you need to accept that this takes time with some trial and error. Even a few small changes can bring significant improvements to our health and well being.

Here is one example of a krama.

  • First step: Noticing your patterns without judgement or reaction
  • Second step: Honest reflection – what is unhelpful for me at this time?
  • Third step: Making a plan – focusing in, for example, working with a simple yoga practice, finding ways to introduce self care practices
  • Fourth step: Putting the support in place and being open to the possible outcomes. This includes support from people you share space with or changing the rhythm of your day
  • Fifth step: Working with the plan / The Practice
  • Sixth step: Revisiting steps one to six
