Yoga is a breath focused practice, it is meditation in movement and stillness. A combination of posture work, seated breathing and meditation cultivates stability, flexibility & clarity in the body and the mind
Simple practices allow stillness and insight; when we feel safe in stillness, the nervous system lets go and hormones rebalance. We feel the shift from a place of action and doing, to a centre of presence and being. In this space, our creativity and wisdom guide us, tension dissolves
Group yoga lessons are online. We are cultivating a yoga saṅga: a community who come together to practice yoga and support each other; a saṅga emphasizes the importance of connection and shared experiences. This class is attended by real people. Although it is online, we can talk and connect and practice together. If you would like to try a class before signing up for a term, please get in touch.

I am very much enjoying the simplicity of the online yoga classes but I do understand the pull to meet in person. From September, there will be a quarterly yoga morning, with priority given to current class and individual students.
There will be yoga, conversation, coffee and meditation. I tend to find that when a group comes together, there is a common theme present. We can see what arises and create practise from our discussion.
We will meet at Avonmouth Community Centre [where some of us have met for the faith days]. The centre has a lovely big hall, kitchen and garden.
