Distant Reiki

Reiki follows the Buddhist principle that we are one, we are all connected. When we become still and focused, we can receive healing for ourselves and connect to others at a distance. It is a simple practice.

What is involved?

If you would like to receive reiki, we can arrange a specific time to sit together or you can have a more flexible arrangement (read on). I will send you a message before I am about to begin and when I have finished. Each session lasts 10 to 15 minutes.

I create a meditative space and send healing with an agreed intention as well as that you will receive exactly what you need at that time. You do not have to sit at the same time as me – you can find a quiet moment during the day to sit and connect.

To receive your healing, it is best to find a quiet space and say something along the lines of ‘I am ready to receive my reiki from Yvonne and accept this healing for my highest good’. How long you are quiet is up to you. Some people just sit for a couple of minutes, some end up falling asleep. When you decide it is time to finish or you wake up, complete the time with a moment of reflection

If you just want a single distant reiki offering, a donation would be appreciated

If it is something you would like regularly, we can create a pattern that works for you via zoom or whatsapp video call. For example:

  • a 30 minute appointment each week (£25)
  • a 15 minute appointment daily, Monday to Friday (£50)
  • an hour’s appointment, once a week or once a month or every 10 days … (£50)
  • what would work for you?

What do people request distant reiki for?

  • general physical and/or emotional issues
  • a guided moment of shared meditation to find clarity. Sometimes the answer or the right questions just bubbles up
  • reiki and self-care can make the ground feel less stable as shifts occur in your life; having someone walking beside you and actively listening to your journey can be supportive
  • there can be resistance to letting go of stuff. We are comfortable with what we know even if we know inside that something needs to change. Reiki can gentle dissolve the attachment to unhelpful patterns

It takes time.

There can be thunderbolt moments which can be exciting as well as challenging. I generally find with reiki practice, life changes quietly and gently. We realise one day that we feel easier and we cannot pinpoint the moment there was a shift. For a few days after receiving reiki, the creases of life are smoothed out

When is distant healing not appropriate?

Any type of energy work requires integrity and an ethical approach. If you are requesting distant healing for someone else, please ask their permission. If you do not feel you can ask their permission we can have a discussion. It may be that talking it through reveals what it is in you that needed to ask on their behalf. Is there something we can focus on for you that will enable you to support them or clarify how you communicate with them?

Medical conditions: if you have an issue that requires medical attention, please talk to your GP or community nurse or maybe you see another practitioner that you feel is appropriate such as a homeopath, naturopath or Ayurvedic practitioner. Reiki can be used alongside medical treatment and other complementary therapies.

I look forward to hearing from you: Contact
