Morning Retreat this Sunday

On Sunday we are meeting as a sanga or community to practice yoga and spend time reflecting on …

Our relationship with the seasons. At Ammerdown recently, time was spent considering the yamas – the first limb of the eight limbs of yoga. The yamas cultivate how we behave in and approach our relationship to others. I think we can use these ideas to consider our relationship to the cycle of the year and the seasons.

We are also going to sit with the pause after the exhale, the BK or bahya kumbhakha. During this moment of stillness we might unravel patterns that are unhelpful. It’s a lot to hope for in one morning’s practice but perhaps it is something you can take with you into the darker months.
